Perm être Erasmus+

“Perm être'’ training consisted in a 13-day Professional Development Activity on key elements for permaculture, agroforestry, food sovereignty and participatory design  adapted to youth work practice. It took place in the Northern Lights farm between May 30th and June 13th 2022 (excluding travel time) and 33 youth workers from France, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Malta and Belgium. Participants who have been selected  are currently involved in collaborative projects addressing the intertwined crises of our times (global pandemic, inequality, ecological, climate and information) and/or whose activity is supporting other  young people in their professional integration or people already involved in social projects.

The program included various thematic workshops on: sustainability, socially-responsible agricultural practices; food ethics and participatory design. Main facilitator of the training course was Chan Sac Balam, permaculture tutor and designer, member of the Permalab. During Day 2 and Day 3 was present Aurelia Densis, member of Permalab and facilitated workshops on Permaculture Ethics and values, Zone systems and participatory design.

Daily awareness and integration sessions, practical exercises and group work facilitated to embody learning integration and evaluation. Every morning there was an awareness circle for community building and expression of the needs. Each afternoon there was integration time for participants to communicate freely.
